A Nigerian momentum

Landmark judgments are made of this. A man of the people, voted by the people, is outwitted at the polls by those who have perpetually set Nigeria aback. The courts seemed to take forever, but eventually Comrade Adams Oshiomole, perennial sand-sand in the garri of Nigeria's establishment was pronounced, to feverish joy, the rightful winner of the 2007 Edo Gubernatorial elections. Our prayer: may he not be like Lech Walesa, another preeminent labour leader who led Solidarity to liberate Poland from years of Russian Communist captivity, only to end up a massive failure as president. Oshiomole has huge opportunities to make a great difference in Edo State which has been wasted by the eight-year locust administration of Lucky Igbinedion. Judgments like this reassure us that Nigeria is still working. Slowly, but surely….Victoria acerta!!!
